hello all
this should be an easy one hopefully as I'm pretty sure of the answer but need to verify.
My understanding when using external PSCs in your site and you fail over manually by reprinting your vcsa from one PSC to another also requires a manual step for SRM as well so it points to the same psc. This is done by modifying the SRM install and in the actual wizard changing the PSC that way. Does this apply if you manually repoint using the command and also if you use automatic fail over as well Using a load balancer? I am pretty sure this to be case.
Is there a way to use a command or automate the fail over for SRM as well? If the only option is to modify SRM install then I guess we can live with that at it only takes a few mins but I need to know
second question is can you use SRM to fail over a vCSA from prod to the dr site and then do a manual repoint to an external PSC that is being used by another vcsa at the dr site? I know PSCs cann be used by one or more vCSA but I'm asking about whether the repoint is possible if that vCSA moves from one site to another site. the pscs are replicating and in the same sso domain so it should be possible. However, pointing to a PSC in other site is not supported but what if I am using SRM to move it to the other site location? i think not...
