How does SRM protects sensitive info from SRM server to protected VM/host in Recovery plan

Hi All,

This question is related to the use of recovery plan in SRM context. We have a need which require us to execute a post power on script in VM which gets recovered as a part of recovery plan execution at Disaster recovery site. The postpoweron script expect the arguments to be passed one of which includes vCenter username and password.

As I understand, the SRM will need to send postpoweron script with argument details to host/virtual machine over network for its execution. Now the question is how does SRM protect the sensitive information which is sent over the network to a VM/HOST? Please let me know if there is any configuration option available by selecting which the recovery plan will be executed in a secure environment. If no such configuration option is available, then please let me know if there are any methods which we can use for sharing security sensitive data between SRM and recovered virtual machines at DR site.  Any comments or suggestions in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Murali
