VMware SRM Database design

Hi All,

I would be creating the VSphere 5.5(ESXi 5.5, VCenter 5.5) & VMware SRM  cluster in primary DC with the below VMs

Primary DC1 - VM List

--------------------

AD Server

VCenter Server with SQL Server

SRM Server

SQL server 1(Active)

SQL Server 2 (Passive)

App server 1

App server 2

DR Server - VM List

---------------------------------

AD Server

VCenter Server with SQL Server

SRM Server

- I would be installing SQL server on the VCenter server would host the SRM server database on the Primary and DR site VCenter servers

- SQL Server 1 & 2 would be Active / Passive MS SQL Cluster to store the Application data.

I do not want to use SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Availability Group due to SQL server Enterprise License cost.

I need to have cost effective solution. Is it correct approach for SQL server design ?

Please let me know the best method.

- Nat
