SRM recovery plan to control VM power-on and datastore mount timing

I am using array based replication (EMC RecoverPoint) and SRM 5.5 for auto-recovery. Plan to create my auto recover plan as following:

Step 1: Mount “Datastore-1” (or make “Datastore-1” available) on recovery site;

Step 2: Power-on “VM-1” on recovery site;

Step 3: Check “VM-1” status via REST API (VM-1 supports REST APIs);

Step 4: Mount “Datastore-2” (or make “Datastore-2” available) on recovery site;

Step 5: Power-on “VM-2” on recovery site.

Is this possible? Can I create "scripts" (running on SRM server) to make this plan automatic? What kind of scripts is easiest?
