Since the vSphere host in my recovery site has less memory onboard than on my protected site, I need to change the VM's memory settings during a recovery, before they boot.
This question has been asked before and the answer was to use a PowerCLI script to do so. I have written such a script, but the problem is that, at least in my situation pre-power on scripts seem to run prior to the second boot of the VM. It boots once before that to change the IP settings, after which it shuts down again.
If SRM starts all the VM's to change the IP-settings, before the script gets a chance to change the memory settings, the VM's will fail to start. Am I missing something?
