I would like to know the upgrade process with SRM 5.5 to SRM 5.5.1. we are currently running with replication jobs. I was trying to find out a best possible way to perform the update. I had below queries,
1. What are the steps to be followed to perform upgrade from SRM5.5 to 5.5.1 and what is the role back plan if the upgrade fails? Can the VR server be in running state during the upgrade phase?
2. What will happen to the running replication jobs. Do we need to stop replication jobs before upgrade?
3. It is mentioned in the release notes[https://www.vmware.com/support/srm/srm-releasenotes-5-5-1.html ] that we should perform upgrade of the VSphere replication appliance server to 5.5.1 along with SRM server. What is the impact of performing the upgrade of the VR server and what action should we take to keep the current replication jobs intact.
4. Can we leave VR server without being upgraded? also wanted to know how to perform the upgrade of VR server.
Any suggestions or recommendations with this would be really helpful.
