About a month or two back I was able to successfully configure, replicate, failover and failback without any issues.
I'm not sure what happened during the course of that time, but the next time I was able to check on the status of replication, it has become 'Not Active'.
I searched the internet for any solutions, and some VMware websites suggested that one or two ports that SRM uses has been blocked. I checked vmkernel.log and found that the Connection Refused error message does not exist, leading me to believe that it is not an issue with port blocking.
I tried to ignore the message and proceeded with Recovery. However it partially failed over, but both sides were unable to boot up afterwards. The Protected Site did not allow me to modify the VM in anyway, and it would not let me boot up the VM on the Recovered Site too.
I did not take a screenshot of the error message but I recall that it mentioned something to do with replication status being passive?
I'm having some difficulties deciphering what the issue is, can anyone help me?
