I have a requirement to be able to have a test environment for DR such that if we run the test recovery plan, the protected VMs will fail into an isolated VLAN, IP addresses and DNS will change (with a cold clone of the DC - I have seen many articles on this and am confortable with what I need to do), if we run the prod recovery plan then we fail into routable networks and establish a full production environment. If I can associate two different recovery plans with the same consistency group then I hope that I will be able to preserve any work I am doing rather than pausing the VMs in startup and running scripts to place in different VLANs for the test recovery environment.
What we want to be able to achieve is to fail over and test the applications as best we can to verify the approach, and then scrap the DC and environment at the end.
Any pointer on this would be gratefully received.
